Engineered, level house pads built on properly compacted fill — the foundation under your foundation.
A house pad is the prepared, compacted earth platform your home or building sits on. Get it wrong and you get a slab that cracks, walls that shift, and doors that won’t close right. Get it right and you’ve got a foundation that lasts decades.
Fletcher Septic & Utilities builds house pads for new residential construction, barns, shops, and outbuildings across East Texas. We bring in the right select fill, build it up in proper lifts, compact each lift, and finish it dead level for your concrete crew or builder.
Most foundation problems trace back to the pad, not the slab. Settling fill, missed compaction, or improper drainage will telegraph through concrete within a few years. We build pads that don’t move.
Most residential pads take 2–4 days depending on size, fill needed, and weather. Larger or more complex sites take longer.
Select fill — typically a sandy-clay material that compacts well and drains right for our East Texas soil. We don’t use organic fill or random topsoil for structural pads.
Absolutely. We work to your builder’s pad spec — elevation, dimensions, setbacks — and time the work so the foundation crew can come in the day after we finish.
That’s most of what we do. For new builds, doing all the site work under one contractor saves time, money, and the usual blame-game when something doesn’t line up.
